  Creditreform Rating has raised the rating on Société Générale SA to 'A-' from 'BBB+'. The outlook is 'stable'. Creditreform Rating has also raised the rating of 'Non-Preferred Senior Unsecured' to 'BBB+' from 'BBB' and the rating of 'Preferred-Senior Unsecured' debt to 'A-' from 'BBB+'. Additionally, Creditreform Rating has upgraded the rating of Additional 'Tier 1' to 'BB' from 'BB-' and the rating of 'Tier 2' to 'BB+' from 'BB'.   Société Générale SA maintains a significant foreign presence in the Russian Federation. In the wake of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the "positive" outlook is withdrawn and a status "watch (negative)" is assigned in view of this exposure. The LT Issuer Rating is confirmed. All Issue Ratings (AT1, T2, NPS, PSU) also receive the status "watch (negative)".

  Creditreform Rating has raised the outlook of Société Générale SA from 'negative' to 'positive'. The long-term issuer rating was affirmed at BBB+. In addition, Creditreform Rating has affirmed the Additional Tier 1 rating at BB-, the Tier 2 rating at BB, the Non-Preferred Unsecured Debt rating at BBB and the Preferred Senior Unsecured Debt rating at BBB+.   Creditreform Rating AG has revised its rating methodology for the rating of banks (Bank Ratings). Henceforth, only the revised version of the rating methodology ("Version 3.0") will be applied with the end of the consultation process. In addition, Creditreform Rating AG introduced the new sub-methodology „Institutional Protection Scheme Banks“. Hence, all current ratings of bank capital and unsecured bank instruments will be reviewed as part of our current monitoring and receive therefore the rating supplement "watch".   Creditreform Rating has confirmed the rating of Société Générale SA (Group) with 'BBB+'. The outlook was changed from 'watch negative' to ‘negative´. In addition, Creditreform Rating has determined the rating of the debt classes as follows. The rating of the Additional Tier 1 class was confirmed at 'BB-'. The rating of the Tier 2 class was confirmed at 'BB'. The rating of the Non-Preferred Senior Unsecured class was confirmed at 'BBB'.   Creditreform Rating has affirmed the rating of Société Générale SA (Group) with BBB+. The outlook is stable. In addition, Creditreform Rating affirmed the rating of Additional Tier 1 with BB- and the rating of Tier 2 with BB. The rating of the preferred senior unsecured debt class was also affirmed at BBB+ (after reclassification from senior unsecured debt). The rating of the non-preferred senior unsecured debt was set to BBB.
